We are originally from Holland, and are looking @ purchasing a used JD 4?55 series or 6000 series tractor from Holland. We are finding it is considerably cheaper to purchase a tractor from Holland and bring it back in a container ect.. to our farm in Ontario, Canada. Tractors are cheaper in Holland, because nobody wants used, they all want new ones for tax write off purposes. These tractors are still to fancy for the eastern european countries, thas why not to many go over there. Been thinking the same thing myself lately about some Valmet and Volvo-BM tractors. The prices and selection on www.mascus.com seem to be the best I've found so far. www.traktorpool.de is not too bad either. I checked your link out Drewman,not a bad site. I really like the ones with pictures,they say alot real quick. From what I've heard Halifax or Montreal might be a better place to land them then in Ontario. Where are you at? I'm in S.E. Ontario myself. |

Hey Woodbeef, i'm out in Eastern Ontario, where the real farmers are!!  Would most likely have it land in Montreal. My dad has a couple of good friends who are in the tractor business in holland, so bringing one over wouldn't be a problem at all Finding dealer suites from holland and this option is looking better and better |

We're about 50km south of Ottawa
grow corn, soyabeans, winter wheat, whitebeans and kidney beans
