How many hours on it?
Its about time you posted from your own computer!!!!! I was starting to wonder if you have became a hobo,or what!!
Matts still has not made a decision yet.

Getting the "new toy" in August 2002 so the IH1455XL will have at least one more spring season in it for us. 7710 will have about 200hrs on it.
A disturbing thought though: when we are to buy (rear)duals for the 7710 it will be about the same money that we will get for the IH1455. The old tractor has duals all around and almost new rear tyres. Pehaps we should keep it and use as long as possible for applications where duals are important and not get any for the 7710? Unfortunately the IH1455 is becomming unreliable and we can't keep stockpiling tractors. Hopefully the 3588 2+2 will have a few more years in it. We don't use it much, but what it does it does pretty well (and it's COOOOOL).
When I work during the weekdays I do not have acces to my own computer (and I've had problems logging on from others) and thus use the Laapa on guest computer signature. I know it's less than a perfect situation. I think we used to be head-to-head in quantity of postings but you are far ahead of me now. (yeah I know, it's not a competition...)
PS, Please excuse my limited lingual capacities: what the heck is Hobo?

Good question. Everytime I've traded off the old tractor for peanuts,I've always wished I kept it around. Especially if it did not owe me anything.I'd say keep it around, once it finally dies then get rid of it to a tractor-breaker.It will at least save your new Deere for awhile!!
A hobo was a homeless person during the great depression. They rode the rails living in boxcars going from town to town looking for work. Hobo is short for homeless-bum. You might have seen pictures or cartoon depictions of the guy with a scrubby beard, tatered hat, and holey shoes with all his worldly belongs tied on a stick with a red bandana. That is a hobo. I was trying to imply that you were never home to use your own puter, always someone elses!!

My home computer is in my (girlfriends) appartment in Malmö. Unfortunately I'm mainly there on weekends only. Hopefully this will change when I find a "real" job. During the week I work at my parents farm, this time of the year mainly feeding the pigs. When I sign as "Laapa on guest computer" it usually means I am usually using their computer.
As you might conclude, I will propably not be working much at the farm by the time the 7710 gets there.
I thought Hobos were the big-feeted caracters in that "Lord of the Ring" movie (Frodo etc.) and in that case your question would have made no sense at all.

Aahhhh... now I understand,or at least I think I do!! You had hobo and hobitt mixed up. do not worry thought quite a few of my questions make no sense whatsoever!!
Real Job,man that's a scary thought. Ain't they the same thing pudding gets?
I heard from Matts. He is going with two McCormicks MTX tractors. A 140 and a 175 with the front 3pth. I guess his Deere dealer was a tad bit on the greedy side,or else he actually thinks that the J/D tractors are worth that much more!!

Going with two McCormicks eh... Good for him I guess, good for the new brand's sales statistics for sure.
Seriously we never really looked into the new Mc. Perhaps we should... No sales representation around here that I know of. We could get a fair deal on CIH MX170 (same tractor except engine i suppose) but it would not have had the extra features we wanted (front linkage, srung front axle) since the dealer had bought a stock of them before the end of CIH production. Also JD financing worked to the advantage of green.

I think that it would probably be pretty hard to beat the deal that you are already getting!!
Just don't go and become a Deeroid on us now,eh!!

I'll try to stay objective but I should perhaps mention that I will be going on a 5 day roadtrip for arranged by JD for distinguished customers this weekend. We'll visit the tractorfactory in Mannheim, the german Combinefactory and some other places of interest like Gasthause und Bierstuben Jawohl! When I get back, you be the judge if I've gone Deereoid or not!
(In all fairness, I also did go on a very similar Claas-sponsored roadtrip last year. I sure wish they made Tractors in the Bahamas...)

Uh huh,so that's why you really went sea-sick green,eh! They dangled that liquid carrot juice excursion in front of your nose!!
Just make sure that you do not buy any of them slime-green colored sunglasses at the souvenir shop, and start to view the world through them!
Enjoy the trip, and let us know all the secrets that you find out along the way!!
