Yes Laapa, i was talking about the air-cooled engines. Deutz still produce the 912/913 series but next year will be changet by the new 914, with hight presure injectin sistem amd more displacement. the other air cooled engines, 413/513 series i don't know what will happen with it but i think Deutz will stop the production. Now only small tractors go with air cooled engines but the all the Topliners, Ectron and Actors go with the air-cooled engines. The new 55 series go with an air-cooled for the lower model and with water cooled for the bigger combines. Valtra, Renault, Fendt, Same and Lamborghini use Deutz engines, Valtra 912/913 series, Renault 912/913 and 1013 series, Same and Lamborghini uses 1013 series too. Fendt tractors use 1012 and 2013, combines use 1013 and 1015 series.

So the 912/913 is what Carraro puts in the Valtra 3000 series tractors.
Just how different is the Deutz engines from the Sames? I've heard that Same pretty well copied the Deutz design.

Thank you for the update. So for how long did Deutz stop making air-cooled engines then? I'm pretty sure they did for a while.

Could be wrong on this one. But I do not think that Deutz ever stopped production of a-c engines.
Hey Sebas,
Whats the difference between the 912 and 913 series?

I think Deutz will stop the production of the 912/913 series this year or next but they will introduce a new series, the 914. I don't know what will happen with the 413/513 series. The Deutz and the Same are pretty close but they are very different. The Deutz AG isn't a part of the SDLH group and the design of the engines are independent. The biggest diference between the 912 and the 913 are the bore and stroke. The 912 series is 100/120 and the 913 is 102/125, so the 913 have a little more displacement. The 913 can be turbocharged and aftercooled. Both engines are very similar in dimensions. The 912 series was launched in 1967 and Deutz built more than 3 milion of these engines.
