Marshal was a Brittish brand of tractors, also made Crawlers for many years (Track-Marshall). Is that what you mean? I no of no connection betwen them and Steyr.
On a related note, I've seen MB-Tracs (Unimog-based, the orgin of Dopplstadt) in Steyr Red-and-white. Any connection between theese?

hey laapa,
In 1989 after Marshall had ended their own production, they had a deal with Steyr to sell certain badge-engineered tractors. This only lasted a couple of years.
As for the red and white MB Tracs,hhmmmm...... How many have you seen, and where?

I saw several red/white MB-tracs drive by last friday night/saturday morning, just as I was stepping out of the local bar! Seriously, i kinda recall them that way from some old sales litterature. I'll seee if I can find it.

In 1973 MB-Trac build the 65/70 tractors. They are painted in a dark kind of orange and white. You can find all the information at www.mbtrac.de. The page is in german but maybe you can try one of the online translators.

I can not find any connection either between the two companies. But I do remember seeing a add for a used MB Trac and it looked lighter than the green ones, but it was a b/w picture.

Hey Laapa,
Was the cab and hood white, the frame black, and the fenders, steps and wheels red/orange? If so then it was an early model like Ag Machinery said.

Yeh I think it is the same one. Guess you've found out nothing about the Steyr/Marshall tractors in your original post...

Hey Woodbeef!
Funny you should ask, cos the other day I found some brochures of the very same Marshall/Steyrs to which you refer. They were sold for about 2 years around 1990, and i've never actually seen one. If you like, I'll post the model numbers/hp of the range. I could have scanned them and e-mailed to you, but my scanner does not work.

Hey Richard,
Great,I knew someone had to have some info on them. How good do they look in the Marshall colors vs. the Steyr?
Sure post away, any info that you have on them.
How many different series do you have brochures for? Would'nt be interested in swapping them for some brochures from over here, would you?
I wonder how many they sold?

Here goes..
Model HP D642 64 2wd D644 64 4wd D742 72 2wd D744 72 4wd D842 80 2wd D844 80 4wd
I think I'm missing the brochure for the middle range..
D135 135 4wd D150 150 4wd
Apparently there were 10 models in total. They look OK, just the bonnet and wings were beige, the rest black.
Sure I'd be interested in a swap, what have you got?
I've also got some JWD ones and genuine JWD coffee mugs!! Perhaps the mugs won't stand up to the journey though?

Hey Richard,
Please check your e-mail.
Oh ya,even if you were related to Lee.....I do not think any one would hold it against you around here. Relatively speaking, that is of course......
