Maybe it is an utopy but what will happen if this day arrive?
I'm talking about the day that you will go to the shop and say: I want a tractor with (for example) case transmission, Valmet cab, New-Holland steering, Fendt electronics, JD hidraulics, Deutz engine...
What do you think about?

We just did. We are expecting delivery of new tractor later this year and it's got all the best parts: JD Cab, JD engine, JD Tranny, JD Hydraulics, JD sprung axle etc.
Just kidding. We did recently decide on a green tractor but it was not easy. I hope to stay fairly unbias.
Anyways... A lot of tractors are picked together if you think about it. Same brand engines, hydraulics, cabs etc are used in many different brands of tractors, combines and other machinery. Soon it will only be a few parts that are not compatible with others. Why don't we get the parts from the manufacturers and combine them into a machine ourself.

Hey guys,interesting ideas.
Now if we could just figure out who is best at what, and then get them to specialize in that, and make it compatible with what everyone else makes. We could then pick and choose what we wanted exactly.
But would we be getting a whole bunch of boxes and instructions saying: Some Assembly Required?
Oh ya,Laapa..........ahhhh....my sincere condolences.......
