The other day I saw a Steyr CVT pulling transport trailers, all that is supposed to have steyrs red-orange colour was blue (lighter shade than NH) instead. What's that about?
Losely related subject: I acctually saw the Steyr on my way home from a store where i had purchased a surround-Pro-Logic-DTS stereo system to go with my wide-screen TV. I will use this home entertainment system to watch a christmas gift video (why are no tractor films on DVD?) of Zetor and Dutra tractors.
The Dutras are of particular interest to me as they resemble the IH 2+2/anteater/snoopy machines in many ways. Anybody know of a website where I can faind out more about these machines?

Hey Laapa,
I'm on my way out the door to go and flog some Bison meat at the local Farmer's Market. I'll fill in some info on Dutra when I get back this afternoon,if that's o.k. with you?
As for the CVT color? Was it more like Valtra/Valmet blue,or even lighter like Landini blue? Was the rest of the tractor white and gray?

The Steyr might have been part of a fleet deal. I'll see what I can find out. As for the Dutra line: They started out in 1961 with a 4 wheel drive eight wheeler. The idea was for a power to weight ratio that gave a high draw bar pull with almost non-existant wheelslippage. They were built in Budapest ,and exported by Technoimpex to several countries. They used Csepel or Perkins engines. The later ones had air operated assists for 4 wheel braking, clutch and diff-locks on both axles,an independant closed circuit hydraulic system with lowerr link sensing, and hydrostatic steering. as you said they sorta resembled your 2+2 with a long nosed anteater looking hood well ahead of the front axle, and equal size wheels. 1973 was the end of the line for these Hungarian built machines. pudding has some info, and pictures of the D4K-B on his site www.geocities.com/puddingmannz1/Dutra/dutra_d4k-b_68.htm

Of course whom do you think planted the idea in his psyche? The boy is a computer wizard,he comes up with more pictures of her, some I've never seen before. Speaking of Valtra women, have checked out their accesories book for 2001 yet?

Well, I spoke to a local NH (and Steyr) dealer, he said he had not sold the blue machine himself but it was most likely a machine repainted by a customer (perhaps even at the dealership).

A customer can get his tractor painted any color except NH Blue or CaseIH Red. Of course they can paint any color they want once they get it also. Or as you said could have been dealer done.
