By way of Valmet I've been exposed to pictures, and scant info on the V-BM 471,814,2204,2254,2654 mfd tractors. What can you guys tell me about these?
I'm looking for English brochures for them too,if anyone know where I can find some.

Thanks Laapa, I've known about Niklas's site for about a year now. I found it through Juha's Valtra site www.kolumbus.fi/juha.metsapelto That's the only V-BM site I know of though. I have another friend in Sweden on the Isle of Gotland, who sent me some Volvo-BM brochures, but most are in Swedish. Heck I have enough trouble with English, myself!!

Well Woodbeef, this you propably know but here it goes...
Of the tractors listed, The 471 was the mfd version of the 470 "Bison", one of the most powerfull tractors of it's time. Following it (1969) was the 100 hp T800 (earlier models were acctually called T800 BISON), and T810 (w turbo) tractor. Instead of various articulated machines (see prototype section of this site) came a mfd version of the T810 called T814. Later uppgraded to be called 2654.
(My dad told me he was at the first public show of "Volvo's all new 2654 tractor" at the time and was very dissapoited to find out it was essentially a restyled T814.)
After the VolvoBM-Valmet deal Valmet offered 2005 (turbo) and 2105 (turbo+intercooler) for some years. This was in many ways the same tractor as the T800 introduced in 1969. Again restyled to fit the new "NordicTractor" profile of the new company. It was the last Volvo agricultural trcator built in sweden as all tractorproduction moved to the Valmet factories in Finnland. (Sob...)
I've heard rumors that a T800-based trctor is still being built in Valmets Brazil-factories. Can anyone confirm this?

Laapa, How was your Holiday my friend? Yes, the 80 and 85 series produced by VdB is based on the Volvo BM-Valmet tractor series. www.valtra.com.br The only ones that seem to be left are the Linha Pesada series. The others seem to be versions of the Mezzo and Mega series. Not sure when they made the change over though. They have been making the 100 series at VdB for a couple of years now. I'll see what I can find out for you.
