Are you sure it's the Fendt shiftless box? Deutz uses the box from ZF same as Deere. It would make more sense for Same to use the same box as Deutz does. But you never know nowadays,eh! www.grazelandfarm.com

Again, this would seem unlikely to me. On the other hand, Deutz did have a lot of problems with the electronics for the ZF transmission. They say they build about 50 tractors with a cvt this year. But i'm not sure if that is true. I heard a rumor earlier that Fendt now offers the Vario to other tractorbuilders. If that is the case i think every brand will try one in their tractor.

I'm from Spain i'm very close to a case dealer. They start to sell the CVX this year and i heard that this tractors have a lot of problems with the electronics too. A lot of times come people from Austria or German to repair the software (or something about the electronic gestion) of the tractors.Isn't this trans the same as Fendt?I think Case trans come from Linde.

Hey Sebas,The CIH tractor is actually a Steyr painted red. The tranny was developed by Steyr (S-Matic,aka S-Tronic)ZF now owns the drivetrain part of the broken up Steyr-Daimler-Puch. So they now have two types of cvt trannies to sell.

It is probably better that there are only one or two of these gearboxes available so that implement manufacturers can support the different interfaces.
Pottinger offer a module on their Jumbo silage wagon that plugs straight into the Fendt Vario controller. It ensures that the tractor's "brain" is linked to the wagon's "brain" and automatically slows the ground speed when the wagon's pick-up comes under load, for example.
This has great potential, but it limits the ability to swap tractors, or to replace the Fendt with a CNH or JD or whatever.
I believe Pottinger have a module for the Steyr CVT as well, but I don't know the cost of switching from one to the other, or if this is even possible.

Fendt and Pottinger both use the LBS-Bus system, that connects the tractor to the implement. At this moment that standard is only used on German manufactured machinery. Other machinerybuilders are going to use the CanBus system. It does the same, but the 'language' is a bit different. This new standard was introduced at Agritechnica this year. CanBus and LBS won't understand eachother but with a new chip and software update you can solve that problem. It won't be long (a year or two) and the round baler 'tells' the tractor to stop when it is time to eject the bale...
Well, that was way of topic wasn't it...
