Well I guess it all started one day when I had an ephiny and came to the realisation that J/D was not the only tractor manufacturer out there. Until then I had only owned Deere, but not any longer. My Euro tractor intrest began with a badge-engineered Cockshutt 1450. Then I learned about Zetor,Belarus,Landinni, and Deutz. I thought I had died and gone to heaven when I saw a picture of a red tractor with the name Valmet on it in an Alo loader catalog about 93 or so. I took another two years to actually find one in Canada. But I can not afford a new one yet,and they have not been around here long enough for the used ones to be in my price range. I torture myself though by demoing them, and using them when ever I can. When a Steyr 8080a came up for sale cheap,I bought it. Thus beginig my venture into Steyrs.Profi has been a real eye-opener for me.The internet has helped immensly my pursuit of Euro tractor info, along with friends like yourself. I also collect brochures from where ever I can on mostly under 150 hp tractors. I just wish this site was around before!! We need this and more geared towards Euro tractors!! Most of the Americans look upon them as orphans, which is fine with me if they want to keep their color blind attitudes!! It just leaves the used better made, more dependable Euro tractors for me to buy at prices I can afford. One day some will see what they are missing, some never will. Some do not know how many of them are driving tractors that are not made in the USA already.
