Seems that Landini is painting their old 60 series tractors a kinda reddish/orange color now. No one could explain why though.

Hey Woodbeef, I thought they had discontinued the 60s. I think the Atlas was their replacement. Do they have the old 60series numbers? Odd color for a Landini.
Did McCormick have any of the new C models there?

Hey guys,
Yes,Kenjar they have the old 60 series numbers.
McC new C series? Did I miss something.....Or do you mean the old CIH tractors. If that's what you mean, then yes they were there, along with the Landini orchard models painted McC red,and the MTX.
Hey,pudding it could be Valpanda red. It is quite a bit more orange than McC red. Yes,they were badged Landini

Hey Kenjar,
Yep,I'd say that is the color.
So I'm now wondering if they will sell them here as Landinis and elsewhere as Valpadanas?
Speaking of the McCs have you inquired about any prices yet? Be interesting to see how they are priced compared to the CIH ones.

Woodbeef,
Strange they aren't offering them in blue. Maybe they are selling them in both brand names for different markets.
No McC dealers in my immediate area, hence no price comparisons. Have 2 Vermeer dealers close by, neither one wanted to take on the McC line.

Red landinis are a similar trick as the terracotta Genesis, i think.

Well this morning I got a lame half fast explanation about the color change. I still think it is for Valpadana myself, but here is what the Landini rep told me:
The new color signifies the ones with the new "GreenPerkins" engines installed. The blue ones have the old style engines in them. So I asked for a brochure for the red ones. He said no red brochures yet,but he had the old blue ones, and gave me one. Well inside the front cover is a red one,and it say red can be ordered. So his reasoning sounded like he was blowing smoke to me!!
Hey Renze,
The terracotta NH were for brand recognition cum market share in the heavy Fiat areas. Nothing like the red/orange Landinis

yup on the brand reconition thing.....woodbeef
my father has the fiat verison of the 5635NH
that colour has now gone, and all econ fiat series in NZ are blue.......
speeking of NZ,.....where did TJ go on this forum,
the valpadana one....humm......valpadana was a strong NZ brand.......pushed hard in the 80's with its small orchard tractors......(equal size tires).....the convential tractors i never did see....
the only other market where i know valpadana was big was in its home country.....and i guess austrailia......why change landini on a world wide basis to accomadate absorbing a small market share in one or two countrys....hmmmm interesting.......the colour thing, could be to attract people who only see red in major markets......they could be trying to catch on to the MF reputation......rekindle its links with MF......like the 154,174,174C,184,194......maybe this could be a future direction for dealers in the US......they could use the MF dealer network?......colour is the first slow change?......maybe ARGO have seen what colour and naming did for mccormick?........want to liven up landini sales....
the excuse woodbeef got sounz rather flowery.......there has to be another reason........

Well I read that Blue Landini brochure. Guess what they have the "green engines" in them also.......So hmmm.....wonder why they have now made blue the optional color instead of the Valpadana red?
Oh ya,the Landini guy got awfully defensive real quick when I mentioned the color was the same as Valpadana. He told me no,put two spray cans of each side by side, and you could see the difference........ya sure I hear ya!!!!

Hey, I know why they paint them red !! With a red paint, the traditional rust spots dont attract attention ;D

Ha HA, Woodbeef: It's easy to say that, after it happened.
Well, you all might have found out that i'm a little anti Italian. (So what?) My co-workers said that the Alfa Romeo 33 cars were rusting when still on the leaflet. Italian stuff certainly has a name for it.
By the way: i saw a Ferrari yesterday, i think a 355 GT or something like that. First time in my life i saw one out in the wild.
