Drifting of the topiv perhaps but did'nt Schluter only make the one single 500 hp prototype? Currently belonging to a collector. Are there more than on 500 hp Shluter around, and still being used for farming duties?

Hi Johan
I don´t think that they made only one. A Yellow painted 5000 TVL was running by Rheinbraun, our coal mine Company, they have also a Xerion in use for transportation. Around here only Rheinbraun uses such big tractors. More then 250 hp You will not see here. Biggest tractors in my county are between 100-180 maybe 200 hp. In Northern Germany or in the east, You´ll find them more often.
BTW:A lot of Schlüters are still in use here, mostly 1250 and 1500 TVL

yes schlüter only build one prototype of the tvl 5000 the tvl3500 looks like it is the same so i think the reinbraun owns a tvl3500
and now back to topic

Hey Bernhard,
there are some tractors in your region that have more than 200hp. For example a tuned 930 Vario with nearly 400hp... I saw him. More and more farmers here buy bigger tractors like Fendt 900s. I dont know if they are to big for them, but they buy it.

ok, Powershifter....,back to the topic but this as last
I´ve seen the Rheinbraun 5000 TVL at the former DLG show in Frankfurt in the beginning 80`. Even in Wolfram Riedels Schlüter book You can read that one of them was sold to a coal company.
Jan....
this coalmines are very big, and the nearest of them is around 10 km east from here. So, around Cologne or Neuss it is possible that there is such a big Fendt. Around here, don´t think so, but not to hard to figure out.

Lets get back to the original thread. Who knows anymore about the Lexion 600, and in particular the new 9m header?

Are You sure, that someone here has seen or heard anything of this combine, which is trough or real? Maybe You should ask Claas? A Journalist in my eyes also is a kind of Investigator and should have good connections to the Agmachinery Companies. Otherwise:If this legendary Lexion should exist...You know a good computer can make a lot of things possible....why should Claas not make any PR with it? I think Agbusiness in the combine range is not like the carbusiness, where a new modelrange shown before introduction will drop car sales. Or am I wrong with that? BTW: Ok a good Investigator has to start his investigation at the basis, this is a basis place, but everyone here knew as much as You...only rumours and mybe faultpics is all we have heard or seen. the "big" 580 is the cat lexion 590r (at the moment the world's largest combine) a guy from us told me that one of this beasts replace 2 480 lexion combines
it's available with 12m header or 16row (@75cm) corn header

Powershifter you know nothing at all. The Lexion 590R is a 580 with one of the very slight differences being the 590 has a 12,500 litre tank while the 580 has 10,500. The extra capacity is from the extended grain tank wings. If you dont believe me go and see the 590R and the 580 in the same field in Oxfordshire! (Yes there is a Cat combine in the UK!) The Lexion 600 is a reality and is being tested as we speak in the UK, Germany, Estonia and Russia. However the 600 is not the X5 which is being tested in a place you and I will never find.
