I don't have a picture but it seems that farmers in Europe can order a 7000i.

Customers who are looking for high output machines from Claas are going to be disappointed if all they are doing is increasing HP. The existing feed rollers and cylinder struggles to cope with the quantity of material that a 900 can munch on.

Hmmm i thought that the Claas 800 series already had the biggest throat in the market some years ago... Are the chopper internals of various brands, changed so much the last few years ?

Where have you been? Claas is seriously lacking in that department with John Deere, Krone and now even New Holland offering a wider and larger chopping cylinder.

UNLESS THEYV'E CHANGED THE FEED ROLLER SYSTEM THEY CAN'T EXPECT HIGHER OUTPUT.HOW ELSE WOULD YOU GET MORE OUTPUT.SEEMS LIKE CLAAS ARE DRESSING MUTTON UP AS LAMB.NOTHING NEW JUST CHANGE THE SHAPE.THEYR'E FOLLOWING THE HERD WITH THE 2 ENGINE APPROACH AND NOTHING REALLY GROUND BREAKING IN TERMS OF TECHNOGOLY.THE ONLY THING IT WILL PROBABLY BREAK IS THE CUSTOMERS WALLET BECAUSE I'D SAY IT WILL BE EXPENSIVE,VERY EXPENSIVE.

Well said Guest totally agree with you, the limiting factor on a 900 is the feed intake, doesnt matter if you stick double the power you stilll can not get the material in. If you look at the new 800hp Claas look how big the feed rollers are. Bet the price is going to be a big one on the new Class!! New Holland has the right approach with that big mouth and cylinder, once they sorted their problem out. Be interesting to see the new AGCO forager.

New Holland has the right approach with that big mouth ............................................................. I could not have said it better my self The only thing new holland has going for it is the Cat engine in the FR9080 and there big mouth. You cannot even buy one until Later this year....... At least when Claas produces their machine it will be for sale asap. BTW what New Hollland going to use for a corn head? Oh that POS RI600

I was watching my neighbour having his silaging done the other day and the contractor he uses has a BiG X V12, heavy first cut fresh ley grass being rowed up with a 14 metre rake, that forager was travelling at around 7-8 MPH, the previous day he was using a 900 and was struggling to get 4 MPH, even blocking when he tried to get to greedy. I think that Claas would seriously lose the market share in the UK if it was'nt for the excellent customer after sales service. That was the only complaint from the Krone operator.

look here the new holand will have the largest cylinder on the market , and will have Largest cutter head in the industry, up to 15% bigger than the competition Power Cruise™ - a new driving concept Turbo Compound technology on FR9060 - saving fuel while maintaining power Variflow™ system- powerful unloading in every crop type New cab - unrestricted views and detailed information MetaLoc™ system – Metal detector and locator the largest in the model range has a single engine not two what a daft idea also new holland has said if you cant beat them join them ie same crop flow as a class so dont knock it you clas s boys , ive seen a prototype run for 2 months it was awsome feed in grass somthing else note this is an bold shot at the forager market but from what ive seen it looks like class are in for a shock

I remember that when the Claas 800 series came out, early 90's, it set the standard for all other makes, which needed 10 years to catch up with Claas. New Holland FX series, JD 7000 series, were only trying to keep up with Claas, only recently developed forager lines like the Krone big X are getting close. About new NH and JD offerings, they arent in the field YET so "who has the biggest" is still a German competition between Claas and Krone for now....
