I'd opt for a 20ga pump, #8 birdshot. Use a whole brick (100 shells) If you work your way around the guy and keep a good 20 yards off, he should be nothing but birdshot holes all the way around, from head to toes, before he has the good grace to expire.

we bought a new jag 950 this season we wiish we hadnt of traded our green eye in on it. the new 4 wheel drive system is hopeless wont drive the back wheels half the time to the point of being dangerous. its rough riding and fearly loud in the cab the new drum builds up with grass on the back of the knifes and starts vibrating after a while. theirs no suspenssion on feeder housing with grass head on the front. is their anyone eles with problems with theirs. we are not happy at all

It is noisey and not very comfy.

I think there are lots of people married to uncle helmut who wont talk about the mistake they made in the purchase of a 494, however there are some that are speaking the truth about these things. To me just looking at the front axle design is enough to push me away. Imagine something failing in there and ruining the case. That should be real fun to get that 2-3 ton axle housing out. I think claas forgot about the quality design of the 492 series where pretty much every component is fairly easily removed and self contained. That is not the same on this machine in my eyes. I think that their LOC drive is a joke. They are only able to achieve a 10 mm change in length of cut compared to other manufacturers that are infinite from 5-25mm. I dont like the cab at all, and that is one of the things that I thought was the nicest features on the machine and the cebis monitor is a big pain to work. I know of 5-6 different guys on the east coast that bought 980's from only looking at a single picture and not finding out a single thing about these things. They purchased based on the fact that it says claas on the side of it. What a mistake in my eyes.

I think the Cebis system is a joke. It is just complexity for the sake of complexity. I'm sure after a day and a half at the Claas training center and half a season running the thing you might find that it is great, but I can't see a single advantage in scrolling through menus to make a small adjustment. It is as though Claas have a feature and Claas are right, no matter that other combines allow the operator to adjust on the go with a few symple switches. No Claas is better, repeat, Claas is better.
